Salma Hayek's breasts just keep growing

Salma Hayek has been struggling with back pain because her breasts are getting bigger as she goes through menopause.

The actress expected to experience hot flashes, but was not prepared for her already ample chest to keep expanding.

"They (doctors) were asking me things like, 'Are you growing a moustache and a beard? Are you easily irritable? Are you crying for no reason?,'" she said of the conversations she's had with medics about menopause.

But no one mentioned that her bra size might go up: "The boobs grow a lot," she told Jada Pinkett Smith on her Red Table Talk show.

"For some women they get smaller. But there are some women that when you gain weight, your boobs grow, and other women that when you have children and you breastfeed your boobs grow and they don't go back down, and then in some of the cases when you are in menopause they grow again. And I just happen to be one of those women where it happened in every single step!"

It's so noticeable, some people have assumed she's had plastic surgery.

"A lot of people said that I had breast augmentation; I don't blame them! My boobs were smaller (before)! So was the rest of my body," she insisted. "But they have just kept growing. Many, many sizes. And my back has been really suffering from it. And not a lot of people talk about this."

The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard star has also experienced the more typical symptoms of mood swings and hot flashes.

"I have gone through those periods, I still kind of am, but you got to notice those moments and take a deep breath and kind of say, 'OK, it'll pass. You got to hold it together,'" she said. "And the hot flashes aren't fun."

Salma's most recent acting gig, in Ridley Scott's House of Gucci, hasn't helped her changing body, as she recently lamented that she's having trouble taking off the extra pounds she put on for her role as clairvoyant Pina Auriemma.
