Director Colin Trevorrow recently revealed that he took on ideas from original Jurassic Park franchise stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum while filming sequel Jurassic World: Dominion.

However, what that looked like in practice has now been revealed by Neill, who detailed Goldblum's zeal for collaboration.

He told Entertainment Tonight: “Colin Trevorrow, who's a lovely guy and a really good director, he was very open to suggestions.

“Jeff would come to work with about 50 suggestions that drive us crazy every day, god bless him. I love Jeff, but boy, does he have a lot of ideas!

“Laura and I would come up with things, as well, and Colin was very open to that. We'll see how many of those things make it to the cut!”

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Trevorrow discussed how he worked with returning actors Neill (Dr Alan Grant), Dern (Dr Ellie Satler) and Goldblum (Dr Ian Malcolm) on set.

“We would write dialogue together and find ways to make sure that all of these actors, who are so deeply associated with this specific set of characters that they’ve played, not just felt their characters were respected but dug into who they are now,” he said.

“These people have so many attributes, so many things about themselves that are just like Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler and (Bryce Dallas Howard's) Claire Dearing. It didn't end at the end of the shoot day. It didn't end on the weekend.”

The movie is currently set for release on 10 June, 2022.
