Saoirse Ronan was thrilled by her photographic cameo in the coming-of-age film My Old Ass.

The 2024 film, starring Aubrey Plaza and Maisy Stella, tells the story of an 18-year-old girl named Elliott who meets her older self while high on mushrooms during a camping trip.

Elliott's little brother Spencer is obsessed with Ronan, with him watching Little Women on repeat and plastering an entire bedroom wall with photos of the Irish star.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stella revealed that she bumped into the Lady Bird actress at the Gotham Awards in December and found out that she loved Spencer's photo shrine.

"I'd heard from our producers that she had seen it and loved it, but then I ran into her at the Gotham Awards," the Nashville star shared. "She was so unbelievably kind. She loved the movie, and she was so happy about her cameo. She is genuinely such an important figure to me. I've always looked up to her and adored her so much. So it was very surreal to get to talk to her about that."

Megan Park, who wrote and directed the film, previously explained that they sought permission for the Ronan collage.

"She was a real trooper. I think Margot Robbie, one of our producers, has worked with Saoirse (on Mary Queen of Scots) and they're friends," she told Cosmopolitan in September. "I didn't realise, of course, we'd have to get her permission to have her face all over it and reference her. I've heard that she was like, super down (with it). I think her agent saw it was like, it's such a sweet homage to Saoirse."
