Saoirse Ronan joins Ryan Gosling for 'How To Catch A Monster'

Saoirse Ronan, the actress who has appeared in two Joe Wright movies, is to star opposite Ryan Gosling in his directorial debut, 'How To Catch A Monster'.

A press release describes the forthcoming film as weaving, ''elements of fantasy noir, and suspense into a modern day fairytale," 


It also announces that Ronan, who has previously appeared in 'Atonement', 'Hanna' and 'The Way Back' is joining a cast that includes Doctor Who star, Matt Smith as well as Eva Mendes, Ben Mendelsohn and Christina Hendricks.

The film, which is also scripted by Gosling, goes into production this May.

Ronan herself is currently filming in the new Paul Thomas Anderson film, ' The Grand Budapest Hotel' while she next appears in cinemas in sci-fi horror flick, 'The Host', directed by Andrew Nichol.
