Saw 11 confirms 2024 release date
Saw's 11th instalment has been confirmed - and it's already received an official release date.
Lionsgate officially confirmed Saw XI and its release date on Monday (December 11) through an Instagram post, which features Roman numerals spelling out the date September 24, 2024.
"The game continues," the post was captioned.

The announcement comes just a few months after the tenth instalment arrived in September, opening to mostly positive reviews and becoming the only certified 'fresh' film in the franchise on Rotten Tomatoes, where it currently has a critics' score of 80%.
Saw X is set between the events of the first film in the long-running franchise and its 2005 sequel, with Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith returning as John Kramer and Amanda Young, respectively.
It sees John travel to Mexico for a risky medical procedure in the hopes of curing his cancer, but when he discovers it's all a scam to defraud the most vulnerable, the serial killer flips the script on the con artists with his signature, gruesome games.

Saw X is the longest film in the franchise, with a lengthy runtime of 118 minutes. However, director Kevin Greutert previously revealed that it was originally longer, and that he had to cut down the script.
"There were a lot of script pages and just a lot that we wanted to capture. So, I had to trim the film down and take out some scenes and shorten some scenes more than I wanted," he said.
No further details were shared about the 11th film, including whether Jigsaw and Amanda will be back.
In October, Greutert told The Hollywood Reporter: "We'll just have to see what the future of Saw is. There are so many directions we could go, but for me, there's no obvious one coming out of [Saw X].
"I really wanted it to feel like a kind of final send-off for the Jigsaw character, but never say never."
Saw XI is scheduled for release on September 24, 2024.
