Scarlett Johansson is a robocop for a new generation in new Ghost In The Shell trailer
She’s a cyborg with a past – a family, even – but which side will Scarlett Johansson’s The Major end up on?
Coming over like a cross between ‘Robocop’ and ‘Blade Runner’, the new ‘Ghost In The Shell’ trailer reveals more about this massively ambitious, anime-adapted sci-fi.
Rebuilt after ‘an attack’, Johansson’s counter-cyberterrorist field commander is on the trail of a deadly enemy – played by ‘Boardwalk Empire’s Michael Pitt.
There’s more of Johansson’s now-infamous ‘nude suit’ – the invisibility armour seen in previous trailers – plus that freaky-looking robot geisha, which looks far more deadly in this clip.
*Shudder*.
Joined on the bill by ‘Borgen’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ star Pilou Asbæk, Juliette Binoche, Chin Han, and Takeshi Kitano, the Rupert Sanders-directed actioner is due out across the UK on March 31.
