Police hunt suspect after 15-year-old girl was raped after getting off the bus in her school uniform

Police are hunting a man who allegedly raped a schoolgirl after she got off a bus in south London.

Detectives said the man approached the 15-year-old girl on Streatham High Road at around 3.30pm on September 11, before dragging her down an alleyway and sexually assaulting her.

Authorities have released CCTV footage of the suspect, and want to speak to anyone who may have seen him in the area.

The victim was approached by the male, who engaged her in conversation, as she turned into Guildersfield Road.

They then turned into Buckleigh Road where the suspect led the girl to an alleyway, the Met Police said.

Detective Constable Larissa Nightingale, of the Met's Central South Safeguarding Team, said: "We know there were people in Guildersfield Road and the surrounding area who would have seen this male walking with this girl.

"If you have yet to come forward to police with information, I would urge you to do so immediately.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
