Sean Lock left 4 million to his wife and children in his will
Sean Lock left £4 million to his wife and children.
The comedian - who was married to Anoushka Nara Giltsoff and had two daughters aged 18 and 16 as well as a 13-year-old son with her - lost a battle with lung cancer in 2021 at the age of 58, and he is said to have left his family a seven-figure sum in his will.
Probate records obtained by the MailOnline reveal his estate had a net value of £4,084,911 which was to be handed to his family, and the outlet claimed that the late '8 out of 10 Cats' star had instructed that his estate be held in a trust and that it be inherited by his wife and their children.
Earlier this year, Sean's close friend and fellow comedian Bill Bailey raised almost £110,000 in memory of the tragic star, having completed a seven-day, 100-mile walk along part of the South West Coast Path to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The total has now reached more than £135,000 but at the time, Bill wrote on the page: "£100k amazing !! I can’t thank all of you enough for getting us to this incredible target.
"And a huge thanks to all our fellow walkers, all Sean’s family and friends who’ve walked every mile with me, and kept our spirits up with some great laughs, and reminiscing about Sean."
The 57-year-old star walked from Bude in Cornwall to Combe Martin in Devon - which was one of his and Sean's favourite treks - alongside other friends including fellow comedian Lee Mack.
Around the same time, Bill remarked: "Grief is hard to pin down, it’s not something that’s an exact science,
you never know how it’s going to affect you and it can sometimes just
ambush you ... a phrase, a turn of phrase, a piece of music. Even a stretch of coastline that you walk, suddenly you get this flood of memories and that will trigger this response."
