Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause lands Netflix movie role
Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause has landed a role in upcoming Netflix film Hot Frosty.
Directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and written by Russell Hainline, the Christmas rom-com centres on a widow whose life changes after she brings a snowman to life (via Deadline).
"The film picks up with Cathy two years after losing her husband, as she magically brings a handsome snowman to life," reads the film's official synopsis.
"Through his naivety, the snowman helps Cathy to laugh, feel and love again, as the two fall for each other just in time for the holidays... and before he melts."

As well as Stause, the film features a star-studded cast that includes Mean Girls' Lacey Chabert, Schitt's Creek actor Dustin Milligan, Mike & Molly's Katy Mixon, Dumb and Dumber's Lauren Holly and Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Joe Lo Truglio and Craig Robinson.
Joel S. Rice and Michael Barbuto will produce the film, with Aren Prupas and Jonas Prupas on board to executive-produce.
Shortly after the film's announcement, Chabert took to Instagram to share her excitement. "So excited to share the news! @netflix Working alongside this incredible cast, director, and producers has been a joyful experience," she captioned the post.
Stause quickly took to the comments to express her joy at working with her co-star, writing: "You are the sweetest - Hope to work again together in the future," alongside a kiss emoji.

Hot Frosty is the newest addition to Netflix's 2024 holiday slate, which also includes festive rom-com Meet Me Next Christmas starring Christina Milian and Lindsay Lohan's upcoming film Our Little Secret.
As part of Lohan's ongoing partnership with the streamer, the rom-com will see the star and Ian Harding play resentful exes who are forced to spend Christmas together when they find out their current partners are siblings.
The film will also see Lohan reunite with her Mean Girls co-star Tim Meadows, who plays Principal Ron Duvall in both the original film and recently released musical adaptation.
Hot Frosty doesn't have a release date yet.
