Sex and the City 3 still 'a possibility' says Sarah Jessica Parker

‘Sex and the City’ could well return for a third big screen outing, with star Jessica Parker saying another movie remains a “possibility”.

Following the enormous successful TV series that ran from 1998 to 2004, two films were produced, the latest of which arrived in cinemas six years ago.

- Five

“I don’t think any of us have said no,” Parker told the Press Association (via The Guardian). “I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie.

“I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved. I think that’s always a possibility, definitely.”

Parker starred as Carrie Bradshaw alongside Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones, Kristin Davis as Charlotte Yorke and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes.

'Sex and the City 2’ was savaged by critics in 2010 - Mark Kermode famously being one of its most vocal detractors - but was a reasonable success, netting $288 million at the worldwide box office, before DVD, Blu-Ray and digital sales are factored in.

A sequel has been teased and denied many times over the years. In May 2015 Parker got fans very excited with a poorly-planned Instagram post which she apologised for in July of that year before denying a third movie would be happening that September.

Parker made the comments while on the promotional trail for upcoming US TV comedy ‘Divorce’, in which she stars opposite Thomas Haden Church.
