Shameless US has added an Arrowverse and Firefly Lane star to its final season.

The Showtime series is currently airing its eleventh and final season, with filming on the farewell run resuming in September last year, following delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Deadline, Patrick Sabongui has now joined the cast in a recurring role.

The actor will play a slick city landlord called Martin, who has a run-in with Carl Gallagher (Ethan Cutkosky).

Sabongui portrayed Professor Chad Wiley in the first season of Firefly Lane.

The series, starring Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke, dropped on Netflix earlier this year and has yet to be officially commissioned for a second run, despite a cliffhanger ending which perfectly sets up a potential second season.

Sabongui has also appeared in 40 episodes of The Flash as David Singh, and as the same character in a number of Arrow episodes.

His casting follows the final Shameless season also adding Chelsea Alden to its cast.
