Shang-Chi's Simu Liu joins Fast & Furious star's new movie
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hero Simu Liu is filming a new thriller titled Hello Stranger.
The movie – directed by April Mullen from a Ryan Christopher Churchill script – kicked off production in Toronto earlier in the month, and already features Robbie Amell (The Flash), Jordana Brewster (Fast & Furious) and Sam Worthington (Avatar) in the cast.
Deadline broke the news of Liu's inclusion, although his character is being kept under wraps right now.

Hello Stranger centres on Faye, a widow who replaces her dead husband Evan with an android simulant (SIM).
"Although SIM Evan appears like human Evan in every way, Faye does not feel the same love for SIM Evan as it does for her. SIM Evan tries to win Faye back while at the same time being on-the-run from a government agent chasing down SIMs who have become 'conscious' and could potentially be a threat to humankind."
Part Blade Runner, part Artificial Intelligence, this one belongs on your must-watch list of 2023.

Circling back around to Worthington, his 2022 will probably be best remembered for his upcoming return to Pandora in Avatar 2.
"The Sullys are no longer in the environment that they know, the rainforest," teased producer John Landau. "They become the fish out of water. They become the fish out of water both culturally and just environmentally.
"I think the story of Avatar 2, and the strength of the story, is what Jim [Cameron, writer-director] always does in any of his movies: he writes in universal themes that are bigger than any one genre."
Avatar 2 hits cinemas on December 16, 2022, whilst its three sequels will arrive on December 20, 2024, December 18, 2026 and December 22, 2028.
