Watch: Sharon Osbourne reveals why she ditched her grey hair
The 68-year-old showed off the restored red while on her US show The Talk, explaining she wanted a change after thinking she bore resemblance to 'Grandma Clampett' from TV series The Beverly Hillbillies.
"I don't know, I just caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I was like 'Nah, you look like Grandma Clampett and then I thought 'Nah, I'm changing it back'," she said of the reasons behind the change.
She added "one quick look" was all it took and that the decision also came about because of her recent birthday on 9 October, reiterating that she believed she looked like the character made famous by actor Irene Ryan.
Posting footage of herself on the show to Instagram, Osbourne captioned: "Back To Red ~ What color should I try next? 🌈."
It appears as though the mother-of-three may have been working herself back up to a more colourful look as she has been sporting soft pink tresses recently.
Celebrity colourist Jack Martin previously explained she had initially ditched the red because she had grown "very tired" of trying to maintain the shade after colouring her hair a dark vibrant red once a week for the past 18 years.
Osbourne recently had to film for The Talk from her own home as she quarantined after her two-year-old granddaughter Minnie was diagnosed with the coronavirus.
The former X Factor judge had tested negative but was self-isolating to follow protocol.
