Chatting to AP News about the upcoming sequel, Shazam actor Levi confessed that he expects production to kick-off around late spring or early summer 2020, with scriptwriting already underway.

Going off that prediction, we'd assume Shazam 2! will be with us sometime in 2021.

Meanwhile, Levi previously admitted that he hopes to one day collaborate on a movie with Worlds of DC heroes such as Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.

"I don't want to get too greedy," he told Digital Spy. "First and foremost, I would love that we get to keep building this world, the Shazam! side of the DC universe.

"If beyond that, my bosses say: 'Hey, what about going and popping into that person's movie or they pop into your movie?' or, God willing, they make another Justice League and Shazam gets to be in the Justice League, I want all of that.

"That's all bucket list stuff, let's check it off," he beamed.

Shazam! is available to purchase now.
