Shia LaBeouf’s four-year protest of President Donald Trump is off to an interesting start.

The artist/actor installed a webcam at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City, where people are encouraged to stop by and repeat the words “He will not divide us.” Naturally, the protest has also caught the attention of some pro-Trump folks.

A video captured LaBeouf’s heated reaction to an alleged white supremacist who tried to get some camera time for himself. The 30-year-old star can be seen screaming, “He will not divide us” in the man’s face over and over. The verbal altercation looks as if it’s on the verge of getting physical as both men engage in some shoulder bumping.

The protest has been on the NYPD’s radar since it began on Friday, even before this heated exchange. TMZ reports that a police van will be stationed at the scene for crowd-control purposes. While they were unaware of the near-fight, the cops will apparently stay there for as long as necessary.

LaBeouf started the protest on Inauguration Day, and it will be continuously live-streamed 24/7 over the entire course of Trump’s presidency. “In this way, the mantra ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community,” he explained in a statement.

Here’s hoping Shia’s not divided by jail bars before this thing is up.
