Shia LaBeouf's new raunchy role

Shia LaBeouf is rumoured to be "in talks" to star in Lars von Trier's erotic drama Nymphomaniac.

The Transformers star, who appeared to be in the buff for Sigur Ros' music video Fjogur Piano as part of The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment, is apparently being eyed up by the controversial Danish director, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The film stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, who previously worked with the filmmaker in Antichrist and Melancholia, as she recounts the raunchy events in her life from her youth to her fifties to her husband (played by Stellan Skarsgard).

There is no information about Shia's role as yet.

Lars is also rumoured to bring back previous collaborators Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman in Nymphomaniac, which is scheduled to start production in September in Germany.

Since starring in big-budget blockbusters such as the Transformers films, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, Shia has enjoyed a run with more indie films and will next appear in John Hillcoat's Prohibition-era drama Lawless.

His other indie big-screen outings include Robert Redford's thriller The Company You Keep and Fredrik Bond's action rom-com, The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman.
