Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has shared his excitement at being cast in the new Scooby-Doo movie Scoob!.

In this star-studded animation – Mark Wahlberg, Jason Isaacs, Amanda Seyfried, Ken Jeong and Zac Efron play various characters – Cowell voices himself, so yesterday (May 12) he thought he'd treat his Instagram followers to a sneak peek.

Uploading two images, the first is of his animated self sat next to the Mystery Incorporated gang, while the other is a behind-the-scenes shot of him in the recording booth with son Eric.

"We never really got to find out how Scooby and Shaggy met the rest of the gang and now we do. It's brilliant and what's more brilliant is that you will be able to watch it at home on May 15."
