Singer tweets first picture of Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique

Oscar-winner sports her new blue suit on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past

Director and Twitter addict Bryan Singer has provided the first look at Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Mystique in the new 'X-Men' movie.

Seemingly unable to stem the flow of social media emerging from his phone, helmsman Singer took the candid snap of the Oscar-winning actress on the set of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.

She will be wearing a blue body suit this time around, rather than body paint which was employed in 'X-Men: First Class' and which reportedly caused her extreme skin irritation and blisters.

With her shock of orange hair and striking yellow contacts, Singer describes her as 'vengeful', though did not give a reason why.

It's the latest in a slew of shots from the production.

Already this week he's given us a look at 'Game of Thrones' star Peter Dinklage sharing a private jet ride with him, and busting a bristling moustache for his so-far unannounced role in the film.

Rumours have been circling Dinklage's potential character, known to be the movie's main antagonist, since his casting back in February.

Initially it was assumed the actor, who was born with dwarfism, would be playing pint-sized mercenary Puck, or even a CGI role. Singer swiftly put the rumours down though, saying: "He's not going to be a CGI character. He'll be himself. Not that he'll be playing Peter Dinklage, he'll be playing this character. It's not a shy character."

However with this latest bristle boasting snap, Dinklage is thought to resemble Bolivar Trask - the moustachioed 'X-Men' 'villain who creates vicious mutant hunting robots, the Sentinels. We'll have to wait and find out.

The star-heavy production features James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore and Omar Sy.

It's due out on July 18, 2014.
