Sotiropoulou was originally up for the part of Severine, which went to Marlohe. Empire reports that her management then re-submitted her for a small role in which she romances Daniel Craig as Bond early in the movie.

Clearly excited by the opportunity, Sotiropoulou announced the news online, writing:

"Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come!

“Thank u all for you love and support! This is officially the happiest day of my life.”

Previously the actress has appeared in several TV series in Greece, and will show up in horror movie ‘Berberian Sound Studio’ with Toby Jones.
