‘Snowden’ First-Look Photos: Joseph Gordon-Levitt In Oliver Stone’s Biopic

UPDATED with more photos: Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks ready for battle in the first-look image from Oliver Stone’s buzzy Edward Snowden biopic. Shailene Woodley and Scott Eastwood also star in the movie alongside Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans, Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson and Timothy Olyphant. Open Road is set to open the pic on December 25.

Interest in the NSA whistleblower remains high. CitizenFour, the chilling documentary by Laura Poitras recounting in real-time how Snowden decided to uncover the massive governmental surveillance programs carried out on ordinary civilians, won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature at the 87th Academy Awards.

Deadline first broke the news that Stone was putting the project together with producing partner Moritz Borman.

Gordon-Levitt posted more photos on his Facebook page, including he and Stone on set.
