Space Jam: A New Legacy is finally releasing to cinemas next month and, ahead of its arrival, Warner Bros Pictures and ESPN have released a spoof documentary all about the sort-of-sequel.

Titled The Bunny & The GOAT, the teaser includes interviews with film stars LeBron James, Al G Rhythm (Don Cheadle), Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and more about the events of the film – and it gives audiences a first taste of Zendaya's take on the role of Lola Bunny too.

Spider-Man star Zendaya makes her debut as Lola Bunny in the new movie's voice cast, taking over from Kath Soucie, who voiced the anthropomorphic rabbit in the 1996 original.

While we've already seen Lola Bunny in the new film's trailer, this new spoof documentary clip is the first time that we've been able to hear Zendaya voice the character.

Take a look for yourself in the clip below:

Directed by Night School's Malcolm D Lee, Space Jam: A New Legacy sees Lakers legend LeBron James team up with the likes of Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Tweety and Daffy Duck for the "biggest game of his career".

While Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan helped the cartoon characters defeat a bunch of entrepreneurial aliens in the original, this outing sees LeBron join forces with the Tune Squad after he and his youngest son Dom (Cedric Joe) find themselves trapped in Serververse.

Or, as LeBron explains in the documentary: "Basically, what happened was, an evil algorithm took my son. I took that personally.

"So I had to team up with the Looney Tunes in another dimension so I could get my son back, simultaneously saving the Looney Tunes and their world."

Alongside LeBron James and Zendaya, Space Jam: A New Legacy also features Star Trek: Discovery's Sonequa Martin-Green and Marvel star Don Cheadle, while voicework veterans Eric Bauza, Bob Bergen, Jim Cummings, Candi Milo and Jeff Bergman reprise their respective roles.

Space Jam: A New Legacy is released in cinemas on July 16. In the US, the movie will also be released on HBO Max on the same day.
