Whilst it might not have necessarily won over all the fans and critics, the 24th James Bond movie ‘SPECTRE’ has raised a considerable sum for charity.

‘Spectre: the Auction’ at Christie’s London King Street saw a series of items associated with the 2015 blockbuster go up for grabs to the highest biudder - and there were some very high bids indeed.

One of the Aston Martin DB10s driven by Daniel Craig in the Sam Mendes-directed film wound up fetching £2,434,500, according to BBC News.

The auctioned model, signed by Daniel Craig, was one of two ‘show models’ made specifically for the film; Aston Martin also provided the film with a further eight, for which various modifications were made.

Other big lots included Craig’s Day of the Dead costume from the film’s opening sequence, which went for £98,500, and Craig’s Omega Seamaster 3 watch, which fetched £92,500.

Also auctioned off were Christoph Waltz’s Spectre ring (£32,500), a set of Bond cufflinks (£30,000), framed and signed cast photographs (£30,000) and the original sheet music for Sam Smith’s theme song The Writing’s On The Wall (£9,375).

A total of £2,785,500 was raised for charities - and yet more is on the way from the 14 more items from the movie in an online auction ending this coming Tuesday.
