Spider-Man: Homecoming Adds Michael Mando

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ has added ‘Breaking Bad’ star, Michael Mando.

According the The Hollywood Reporter, the 34-year-old Canadian actor has joined the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ solo movie…

“Better Call Saul actor Michael Mando has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming,” they revealed, “the Sony and Marvel Studio’s reboot of the movie franchise featuring the web-swinging superhero.”

But who will he be playing?

“As usual in the case of Spider-Man castings, character details are almost nonexistent.”

Michael Mando is perhaps best known for the role of Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Varga – a chop shop worker and member of Tuco’s gang. But he’s also appeared in the hit TV drama, ‘Orphan Black’ as well as Neill Blomkamp’s sci-fi action thriller, ‘Elysium’.

And he’s not the only new addition to the ‘Spider-Man’ cast.

According to an unverified tweet from a local TV personality, Bokeem Woodbine has also joined ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in Atlanta… but again, it’s unclear what role he has.

Bokeem Woodbine is best known for the role of Mike Milligan in the TV series ‘Fargo’. But he’s also landed numerous big screen roles, appearing in ‘Riddick’, ‘The Host’ and the 2012 version of ‘Total Recall’.

Although details remain scarce about ‘Spider-Man Homecoming’, it’s understood that the ‘Spider-Man’ reboot will take place during Peter Parker’s high school years… and with a flurry of teenage casting announcements recently, it seems that’s a safe bet.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, with Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Robert Downey Jr reprising the role of Iron Man himself, Tony Stark. Joining them are Tony Revolori, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, and Martin Starr.

Michael Keaton is rumoured to star as iconic ‘Spider-Man’ villain, the Vulture.

Jon Watts is directing, based on a screenplay by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ heads to cinemas on 28 July 2017.
