Stan Lee Wants To See Spider-Man, X-Men & Avengers Crossover Movie

Stan Lee, the iconic creator of many Marvel favourites, including Spider-Man, Hulk, and Thor, wants to see the ultimate superhero crossover movie happen.

While speaking to Digital Spy, the 93-year-old supremo said he’d love to see ALL of his hero creations in one single film. And while we’re completely on board for such an epic feat, it’d be tough to pull off.

Discussing the prospect of The Avengers, X-Men and Spider-Man all sharing the screen, he beamed, “I would love to see that.” But Lee was also aware that it’d be a near impossible task for such a wish to come true. "Though there are so many of them now that I don’t know if they’d all fit on the screen!”

Yet we’re about to see Spider-Man appear in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War - Part One’, and there’s talk of the Guardians of the Galaxy team appearing somewhere in an Avengers crossover, so gradually these things are beginning to happen.

If anyone is aware of the magnitude and indeed possibility of the crossover, it’s Lee himself: "Little by little, they are appearing and guest-starring in each other’s movies. It’s such fun, because any one of them could fit into another movie - there’s always a way to write it.”

We love the idea of seeing everyone in one movie - imagine how much money it’d make! - and while it’s still a long shot, Lee knows it is achievable. "When I was writing the comics, I would always have somebody guest-starring in somebody else’s story. It’s fun to write and I think the readers and the audiences like it too.”

Who knows whether somewhere down the line we will get what Lee is hoping for. One thing’s for sure: it’d be one helluva superhero adventure. Oh, and there’s just the small issue of Disney owning The Avengers, Sony owning Spider-Man and Fox owning X-Men.

‘Avengers: Infinity War - Part One’ is in UK cinemas from 27 April, 2018.
