The film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's has added You star Elizabeth Lail to its cast.

The film has already begun shooting in New Orleans (via Deadline) and comes from Blumhouse Productions, the company behind hits like Get Out and The Invisible Man.

Five Nights at Freddy's focuses on a troubled security guard as he starts his new job at restaurant Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, but on his very first night shift, he discovers that it won't be plain sailing.
The film was written by Scott Cawthon, Seth Cuddeback, and Emma Tammi (who is also directing), Blumhouse are working with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to bring the game’s animatronics to life.
In December Scream's Matthew Lillard and The Hunger Games Josh Hutcherson were announced as joining the cast.
Last August, Lail was cast in Patricia Arquette's directorial debut Gonzo Girl, alongside Spider-Man: No Way Home's Willem Dafoe.
Adapted from Cheryl Della Pietra's 2015 novel, Gonzo Girl centres on aspiring writer Alley Russo (Camila Morrone), the new live-in assistant to legendary gonzo journalist Walker Reade (Dafoe).

The plot sees Alley assigned to help the infamous drug fiend Walker settle down to work on his long-promised latest piece, but she soon finds that a lifetime of chronic substance abuse has corroded his ability at the typewriter.
Gradually, she manages to transform Walker's ranting and raving into publishable material by running it through the filter of her own mind, which forsakes her morals but keeps his career alive.
Lail, who is already shooting this film in Utah, will play the writer's girlfriend Devaney Peltier.
You seasons 1-3, and the first part of season 4, are streaming on Netflix. Season 4 part 2 will premiere on March 9, 2023.
