Yahoo Movies You star Lukas Gage lands next lead movie role
You star Lukas Gage has been cast in upcoming comedic thriller Full Throttle Mindset alongside Josh Duhamel.
Directed by Patrick Brice, the movie is inspired by a wild, real-life story first published in the St. Louis Riverfront Times by journalist Doyle Murphy.
Inspired by Murphy's article, Full Throttle Mindset follows burnout Blake Laubinger (Gage) as he goes to work for Midwestern tanning salon mogul Todd Beckman (Duhamel). Blake soon learns his new mentor's businesses are a front for a drug empire, and that he's now expected to contribute (via Deadline).
The film is written by Jake Disch and is set to start filming later this year.

Gage will next be seen in the sequel to the 2022 horror Smile, with his character's fate being revealed in the trailer. With similar praise to that of the first movie, Smile 2 follows a new protagonist, pop star Skye Riley, as she becomes infected by the smiling curse.
In the first trailer dropped last month ahead of an October release, Skye gets the curse after Gage's character Lewis shows up at her home and kills himself with a weight under her eyes.

Gage is known for his roles in Euphoria, The White Lotus season 1 and Fargo season 5. Recently part of the Jake Gyllenhaal-starring remake of 1989's Road House, the actor will also appear in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Companion from writer-director Drew Hancock.
Scheduled to release in January 2025 in the US, the movie also stars Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets), Jack Quaid (The Boys), Megan Suri (Never Have I Ever), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) and Rupert Friend (Obi-Wan Kenobi).
Full Throttle Mindset doesn't have a release date yet.
