IMAX and Odeon offering 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' merch to early ticket buyers

Tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will go on sale in the UK and Ireland on Tuesday, 22 October 2019, and there’s a new trailer coming overnight to get fans frothing with anticipation.

The final film in the Skywalker saga will hit UK cinemas on 19 December, with many cinemas offering midnight screenings for fans who simply can’t wait to see how the nine-film story – that began in 1977 – comes to an end.

As an added incentive to pick up your tickets early ODEON and IMAX have teamed up to offer the first 100 fans who buy their IMAX tickets in person at select cinemas a goody bag fit for a Jedi.

As well as goody bags – which will include an exclusive poster – fans will also be treated to a collectable Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker IMAX souvenir ticket.

Talking to EW recently, The Rise of Skywalker’s director JJ Abrams said the ninth episode of the main storyline is aiming to end the franchise with a bang.

The filmmaker said: “This is about bringing this thing to a close in a way that is emotional and meaningful and also satisfying in terms of actually answering [as many] questions as possible.”

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is out 19 December.
