Star Wars Rogue One: Christopher McQuarrie Reportedly Rewrote The Script

‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ is currently filming ahead of its release in a little over a year, and a new report has given us one of the names who may have worked on the script.

The person believed to have worked on the script? None other than Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote 'The Usual Suspects’ and last year’s 'Edge of Tomorrow’.

The report comes from Latino Review, who say McQuarrie worked on polishing the script for two weeks earlier this year.

The writing process for the first 'Star Wars’ spin-off, which will focus on the Rebels’ acquisition of the original Death Star’s plans, began with Gary Whitta. 'Cinderella’ writer Chris Weitz then came in to complete the script.

If Disney believed the script needed a bit of tightening up, that’s where McQuarrie would have come in. He also wrote the script for 'Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ earlier this year, which was widely well-received by critics and audiences.

'Godzilla’ director Gareth Edwards is currently shooting 'Rogue One’ somewhere in England, and if that comes as a surprise - that’s because nothing has leaked from the set yet… so well done Disney!

The film will star Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen and more.

The film is set for release on 16 December 2016.
