According to Deadline, Gaga will lead this monster cast in the role of Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio Gucci's ex-wife who was tried and convicted for orchestrating his assassination in 1995.
Despite originally receiving a 29-year prison sentence, Patrizia served just 18 years before being released in 2016.
This will be Gaga's first big-screen project since her Best Actress-nominated turn opposite Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born. She did, of course, pick up an Oscar for writing the song 'Shallow'.
Boardwalk Empire's Jack Huston and Penny Dreadful's Reeve Carney are also in talks to join the project.
MGM reportedly won the rights to Gucci back in April, and will go into production once Scott has finished his current film The Last Duel, a story about the last ever duel in England, which also features an all-star cast – Ben Affleck, Jodie Comer, Matt Damon and Adam Driver once again.
The upcoming Gucci movie is written by Roberto Bentivegna, and is based on Sara Gay Forden's book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
Scott will produce alongside Giannina Scott and Scott Free Productions, as well as Kevin Walsh.
