Star Wars VII: Hamill, Ford and Fisher begin filming soon?

Carrie Fisher expects Episode VII to start filming in March

COMMENT | Although 'Star Wars VII' has yet to confirm its casting, it seems that Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford may begin filming in March.

Ever since 'Star Wars VII' was first announced, we've heard plenty of rumours connecting Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford to the movie. And let's be honest, it wouldn't be 'Star Wars' without them. But while Lucasfilm still hasn't confirmed their involvement, it looks as though Carrie Fisher has let the cat out of the bag… and reveals that she expects her original trilogy pals to begin filming soon.

According to TV Guide, Carrie Fisher revealed that she, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford will begin shooting 'Star Wars VII' pretty soon.

"As for the next 'Star Wars' film, Fisher says she, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are expected to report to work in March or April."

And it seems the ageing Princess has some ideas on how she'd like to appear.

"I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again," she said. "But with white hair. I think that would be funny."

But Disney and Lucasfilm have been pretty quiet when it comes to 'Star Wars' casting… and still haven't revealed any of the new stars from the galaxy far, far away. Not only that, but rumours of Hamill, Ford and Fisher's return have been doing the rounds for a long time. And yet, they still haven't been officially confirmed.

Of course, this isn't the first time we've heard Carrie Fisher confirm that she'll be appearing in 'Star Wars VII'. And I think at this stage, it's pretty much given that the original trio will be back in some way. But with shooting apparently due to begin soon, could we be edging closer to some official casting news? We'll just have to wait to find out.

Will we hear an official casting announcement sometime soon? Are they really due to start filming in as little as two months? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
