Has the super-powered star of ‘Stranger Things’ joined the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes? Or did she just happen to drop by…?

This is the question fans will be asking after photographic evidence emerged of Millie Bobby Brown, the young actress who portrays Eleven on the hit Netflix series, showing up on the set of the in-production ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’

This evidence comes from no less a source than the Marvel movie’s directors Joe and Anthony Russo (the ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and ‘Civil War’ duo taking over from Joss Whedon), who posted the photo to Facebook showing Brown joining the brothers behind the monitor, and declaring her to be their ‘guest director.’

Naturally we’re now all thinking – what does this mean? And of course, it might not mean anything. Brown might simply be stopping by for an informal set visit; such things are hardly unheard of, and ‘Stranger Things’ season 2 is said to be in production not far from where ‘Infinity War’ is currently shooting in Georgia.

But at the same time, it’s hard not to suspect that the acclaimed young actress might have been there to film a role for the hotly anticipated Marvel film, although there have been no reports to this effect.

Still, given that thus far ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is confirmed to feature Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin, it’s not as the film is low on star power right now.

Whether Brown is in it or not, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is due to open in UK cinemas on 27 April 2018, whilst the second season of ‘Stranger Things’ is expected to hit Netflix this Halloween.
