Tom Cruise is still working on his film to be shot in space

Tom Cruise is still working on his movie that will involve filming in space, with the actor confirming that the project is in the pipeline.

Cruise was asked about the currently untitled film at the premiere for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, and revealed that he still wanted to partake in the space walk for the shoot.

“We’ve been working on it diligently and we’ll see where we go,” he said (via Variety), before confirming that the film was yet to have a production date. Doug Liman, who worked with Cruise on Edge of Tomorrow, is currently slated to direct the film.

Whilst Cruise will set foot into the next frontier for that film, the star undertook numerous stunts for the seventh film in the M:I franchise, opening to rave reviews and solid box office takings.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is released in UK cinemas on July 11 and in US cinemas on July 12.
