Yes, These Ice Dancers Performed to "Despacito" at the Olympics
If you were competing at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang you would definitely choose "Despacito" for your figure skating routine, right? Right!
Anyway, two skaters from the South Korean team were destined for greatness when they chose the Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee hit for their performance. Ice dancers Yura Min and Alexander Gamelin not only skated to the song of 2017, but also continued their routine with the Mariah Carey classic "My All" as well as Thalia's "Mujer Latina."

The 2018 Olympics mark the first time that skaters can use music with lyrics in their routines and "Despacito" was very clearly a popular choice, because duh. (China's skating duo Shiyue Wang and Xinyu Liu incorporated a slower cover of the song by Leroy Sanchez and Madilyn Bailey.)
The pair also dealt with a minor wardrobe malfunction (flawlessly, I might add!) during their sequence but honestly, none of that matters next to the A+ song choice.
