Sylvester Stallone's John Rambo is preparing to ride again for one last time and it won't be for the faint hearted.
The actor has shared on Instagram that the upcoming Rambo: Last Blood has earned a "hard" R-rating, while also posting two new pics from the film.
"Great day!" Stallone captioned the pic. "We got our HARD R Rating today! What’s coming is going to be unlike anything you’ve ever seen...' ...Death is coming' John said."
Stallone's fifth and final outing in the role comes a few years after he vowed never to revive the character, citing the fact that his body needed a bit of a break.
"The heart's willing, but the body says, 'Stay home!'" he said. "It's like fighters that go back for one last round and get clobbered. Leave it to someone else."
Last Blood follows Rambo as he travels to Mexico after his friend's daughter is kidnapped, and he quickly finds himself up against one of Mexico's most violent cartels.
Yvette Monreal stars as the kidnap victim Gabrielle, while Paz Vega plays Carmen Delgado, a reporter covering the drug trade in Mexico who helps Rambo after her half-sister is kidnapped.
Life Itself's Sergio Peris-Mencheta will play Hugo Martinez, the brutal head of the previously-mentioned cartel, while Adriana Barraza (The Strain), Oscar Jaenada (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) and Joaquín Cosío (Narcos: Mexico) will all also star.
Rambo: Last Blood will be released in cinemas on September 20, 2019 in US and UK cinemas.
