    Disney Are Making A Live-Action Little Mermaid Film Too

    Deadline have reported that Disney are in early talks to make ‘The Little Mermaid’ a live-action film after being seduced by a pitch for the project. While Universal’s version will be based on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, Disney’s will have more in common with the 1989 animated film, which differed substantially from the source material. It’s hardly surprising that, despite the competition from Universal, Disney are moving ahead with their own live-action ‘Little Mermaid’ film, too.
