‘The Disaster Artist’ just got a lot more interesting after actor and director James Franco revealed he directed the movie in character as legendary bad director, Tommy Wiseau. ‘The Disaster Artist’ tells the story of the making of ‘The Room’ – the ill-fated movie directed by the real-life Tommy Wiseau… and widely regarded as one of the worst film’s ever made. Hollywood A-lister Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to play the producer of rock ‘n’ roll icon Elvis, it’s been revealed. According to Variety, Paramount has secured the rights to the biography ‘Sam Phillips: The Man Who Invented Rock ‘N’ Roll’, which they plan to bring to the big screen. Significantly though, DiCaprio is reported to be attached to both produce and star in the movie.

Danny Boyle’s Apple biopic ‘Steve Jobs’ has been a bit of a flop in the US despite the pedigree of its Oscar-winning director, screenplay by acclaimed writer Aaron Sorkin, and star-studded cast including Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet. The data highlighted on Box Office Mojo reveals Fassbender’s film took just $14,540,683 (£9.4m) in its first 24 days, while Kutcher’s ‘Jobs’ took $15,524,128 (£10m).
