A beautiful new IMAX poster for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2′ has been released by Lionsgate that wouldn’t look out of place in an art gallery, and hidden amongst the stark black, white, and red imagery is lots of subtle subtext about the final chapter in the Katniss Everdeen saga. Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen - the figurehead of the insurgency against the Capitol - looms large as does the Mockingjay that represents the rebellion, but it’s the blood and roses that hint at the confrontation that will dominate the final film in the franchise. Notice how blood drips from Katniss’ right eye, the eye she uses to aim her trademark bow and arrow, which as we’ll see in ‘Mockingjay - Part 2′ is being used to target Snow.
