The title theme of a new James Bond film is as integral to its marketing as the Bond girls, the cars, and even 007 himself and according to a new report the new song for ‘Spectre’ will be unveiled this week.
Following yesterday’s news that seemingly confirmed Ellie Goulding was recording the theme song for ‘SPECTRE’, a surprising new name has been thrown into the mix. Moody indie rockers Radiohead are now said to be the bookies favourite to record the next James Bond theme song after a huge bet was reportedly placed on the Oxford band. A spokesperson for William Hill told the MailOnline: “We can confirm that someone did enter one of our shops requesting to place a £15k bet on Radiohead at odds of 10/1. On top of that, we have seen loads of smaller bets that have forced the odds down to 6/4 from 10/1.″ - Movie Poster Photoshop Fails - Channing Tatum Quits Gambit? - Incredibly Awkward Interview “A gamble like this suggests that an announcement could be coming soon whether it be Radiohead or another artist.” Goulding seemed like a likely contender after she shared an Instagram photo of herself leaving Abbey Road Studios - the same location Adele recorded the Oscar-winning ‘Skyfall’ theme - with the caption “That’s a wrap”.
Speculation is mounting that British singer Ellie Goulding has recorded the theme song for ‘SPECTRE’, the 24th James Bond film coming to cinemas this October. The ‘Anything Could Happen’ singer dropped the biggest clue yet that she’s singing the new 007 theme with a post on Instagram showing her leaving Abbey Road Studios with the caption “That’s a wrap!” In isolation, the post may seem fairly innocuous. After all, singers are photographed leaving recording studios all the time, but when you piece together the clues, it looks like Goulding has been given licence to thrill on the new ‘SPECTRE’ soundtrack. - Fears For Liam Neeson - Everything We Know About SPECTRE - Full SPECTRE Trailer Abbey Road is the musical home of Bond with most of the official soundtracks including 2012′s Oscar-winning ‘Skyfall’ being recorded at the famous studios Director Sam Mendes also recently revealed the theme song had been done, but offered no clue to which artist was behind it.
