The turbo-charged ‘John Wick Chapter Two’ arrives in UK cinemas nationwide with an almighty crash-bang-wallop today, but if you’re too impatient to see the dog-loving hitman back in action on the big screen then never fear, for we have the first four minutes of the film to share with you. Keanu Reeves returns as the eponymous hero in the sequel to 2014’s ‘John Wick’, and as you can see he still has a debt to settle with the Russian mob who killed his dog and stole his beloved Mustang. The clip shows Wick as he tracks his motor to the chop shop run by Abram Tarasov (Peter Stormare), the uncle of the mobster responsible for the canicide of the first film, where he proceeds to mete out justice, John Wick-style, with the help of his high-octane vehicle.
It’s been fourteen years since the release of ‘The Matrix Revolutions’, the third film in the Wachowskis’ hugely popular sci-fi series, and now Keanu Reeves has admitted he’s ready to make a FOURTH film… on a few conditions. “The Wachowskis would have to be involved,” he told Yahoo Movies.
With ‘John Wick: Chapter Two’ hitting cinemas this week, attention is already turning to the future of the franchise, and what’s in store next for the super-assassin world. Director Chad Stahelski has stated he wants to make a trilogy of films and that Lionsgate (the studio behind the film in the US) is exploring the possibility of a spin-off TV series, so what’s the latest on both of those projects, and what can we expect? “If the audience likes [‘John Wick: Chapter Two’] and we get an opportunity to do ‘Chapter Three’, I think we should start right after the end of ‘Chapter Two’ and see what happens,” Keanu Reeves told Yahoo Movies.
Featuring an incredible compilation of action sequences from the first film, the balletic video is guaranteed to whet your appetite ahead of the release of 'John Wick: Chapter Two' on February 17.
