    'Blade Runner' Sequel Moves Up Release Date to Fall 2017

    Denis Vileneuve’s Blade Runner sequel will hit theaters earlier than expected. Alcon Entertainment announced Wednesday that the follow-up to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic sci-fi masterpiece will open on Oct. 6, 2017, instead of Jan. 12 of the following year. Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford (star of the original), Robin Wright and Dave Bautista star in the redux, which will be released by Warner Bros. in North America and Sony Pictures International overseas.
