    After much rumour and speculation, the producers of the upcoming ‘Friday The 13th’ reboot have confirmed the film will be an origin tale featuring Jason Vorhees and his family. “We’re going to meet the family,” concurred co-producer Andrew Form, “You’re gonna meet Pamela, Elias, and Jason. Jason Voorhees’ father Elias has been referenced in previous ‘Friday The 13th’ films, but he’s never been seen on screen.

    Director Exits Friday The 13th Reboot

    The Wrap reports that David Bruckner, attached since 2014 to helm the next ‘Friday the 13th’ - the 13th in the series, funnily enough - has now parted ways with the project. Michael Bay’s production company Platinum Dunes, who produced the last reboot of ‘Friday the 13th’ in 2009, are handling this new version, said to be taking a fresh approach without being a sequel or back-to-square-one remake.
