    Stephen King’s It Scheduled For September 2017 Release

    Studio Warner Bros, who are releasing ‘It’ via their subsidiary New Line Cinema, have announced the first part of the two-volume film, to be directed by Andrés Muschietti, will hit US cinemas on 8 September 2017. First published in 1986, ‘It’ is one of King’s best-loved and lengthiest books (well over 1,000 pages), and was previously shot as a TV mini-series in 1990, with Tim Curry in the central role of the evil clown Pennywise. ‘Mama’ director Muschietti boarded the ‘It’ movie in summer 2015

    Stephen King’s It Will Be Filmed This Year, Says Producer

    The troubled big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s epic novel ‘It’ should finally go before cameras later this year, according to producer Roy Lee. Lee tells Collider, “It will hopefully be shooting later this year. ‘Mama’ director Andrés Muschietti came on board the long in-development movie in July 2015, replacing original director Cary Fukunaga (’True Detective,’ ’Beasts of No Nation’) who quit over creative clashes with studio New Line Cinema.
