The title has obviously left fans deep in thought as to just who it might refer, the obvious candidates being either Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker or Daisy Ridley’s Rey – but we shouldn’t forget that Jedi is one of those nouns for which the singular and plural are the same, like samurai, ninja, or, erm, sheep and moose. Now, IGN have figured out that the ‘Jedi’ in ‘The Last Jedi’ is in fact plural – thanks to the film’s German title.

‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ director Rian Johnson has shared another snap from the anticipated sequel’s ongoing shoot - this time giving us a glimpse at the returning Maz Kanata. Maz was brought to life through motion capture by Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o in last year’s 'The Force Awakens’, and had a small but crucial role to play in the plot. Johnson shared his first behind the scenes picture on 10 March, snapping cinematographer Steve Yedlin in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon to celebrate four weeks of filming.
