Talk to Me, the acclaimed Australian horror film and the year's scariest movie, has now arrived on Netflix UK in time for a spooky Halloween treat.
The debut feature from brothers Danny and Michael Philippou (aka RackaRacka) follows a group of teenagers who discover they are able to contact spirits using a mysterious embalmed hand, only for things to go too far.
In addition to critical acclaim, the film was also a hit at the box office with audiences, becoming A24’s highest-grossing horror in the US, with its takings of $48.1 million surpassing Ari Aster’s Hereditary.

The success has led to A24 greenlighting a sequel, Talk 2 Me, which will again see the Philippou brothers collaborate with Bill Hinzman on the script. It is currently unknown if the follow-up will focus on new characters, with the duo keeping their options open.
"Because I was writing it for so long and redrafting, you just can't help but start writing other scenes," Danny told Deadline.
"Scenes of different people experiencing the hands, continuing on these characters' story. So, there [are] scenes for a sequel. If A24 wants it, I'll bloody give it to them."

"When you’re writing and you know, say, the ending - and it's not just specific to Talk to Me; I think it's everything that we write - you think of the scenes after," added Michael.
"What are the characters going to do after? How they're going to interact after the climax. So you always just naturally write, even though you're like, 'Oh, this is probably a bit rough'. But it's just fun because you love the characters and can just keep going."
