If you are not already one of Emma Louise Connolly’s 482k followers - you’re about to be.

Whether it’s for the video series of her enviable home renovation, the carefully curated shots of her mouth-wateringly delicious dishes, full high fashion looks that expertly combine vintage finds with a mix of high end and the high street or behind the scene content from shoots with the likes of Dior, YSL and Puma - the latter of which in her role as brand ambassador - her feed is a mood board of inspirational and helpful gems where you’ll want to add just about everything to basket.

We’ve tapped the influencer, model and certified cool girl - who’s one half of power couple The Proudlocks - to reveal all about her Christmas plans with her fiancé Oliver (of Made in Chelsea, Serge de Nimes and “Yeah Baby” fame).

From the Puma wares she’ll be sporting, to the failsafe gift idea (hint: you really can’t go wrong with vino), see Emma Lou’s Christmas guide to gifting.

What does Christmas 2020 look like for you?

Ollie and I do alternate Christmas’ with our respective families (much like I imagine most do!) and this year is my year. The plan was to travel to Scotland to be with my family, snuggled by the fire, drinking red wine and eating cospious amounts of Celebrations chocolates. However, with Covid-19, I’m imagining it will most likely be a little table for two for Ollie and I in our living room in our gravy-stained Puma sweatpants

What is on your Christmas wish list this year?

This year I have asked for a sewing machine. I studied fashion design and with much more time at home, I’ve a real hankering to get back into pattern cutting and creating my own clothes. I used to rip up my Mum's curtains to make my Saturday night going out dress each week.

Shan’t be using my own curtains this time though.

What's the best Christmas gift you've ever given, or received?

I bought Ollie a beautiful gold antique watch for Christmas last year, it’s a very special gift and a reminder of a special time in our lives together. He got me a gold engraved bracelet, which I treasure for the exact same reason.

What's your failsafe gift idea?

An electric corkscrew. For vino lovers, dinner parties or just making that Saturday night bottle slightly easier to open from the sofa. It gets very well used over the festive period. And any period actually.

What’s your most indulgent purchase?

Most definitely our first home. Does that count? If not, then Saint Laurent boots. Yes, that’s more like it.

What is the one item you can't live without?

I live in Puma trainers and their workout/loungewear. So that is definitely up there. I’ve been rotating the suede classics for a few years now and love the new XXI style.

What's the best housewarming gift?

Can I say wine? *hope my friends are reading*

What was your guilt-free lockdown purchase?

An OddBox subscription. A great company which delivers and rescues surplus, wonky and odd fresh fruits and veggies from farms straight to your door.

I’ve loved whipping up new recipes using divine wonky fruits and veg that taste the same as the good lookin’ ones in supermarkets.
