Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and their 'Deadpool 3' director Shawn Levy recently attended an NFL game with Taylor Swift and Blake Lively
Taylor Swift had an all-star gathering in New York City.
Swift, who wore a black dress, long brown boots and a Ralph Lauren baseball cap, was seen arriving with Levy, a longtime television and film producer and director who frequently collaborates with Reynolds, 47. The Deadpool star and his wife Lively, 36, were spotted arriving separately, as well as Jackman, who will reprise his X-Men role as Logan / Wolverine in the upcoming film.
Swift has been friends with Lively for a number of years, but her recent sightings with Reynolds, Jackman and Levy as wait to resume production on Deadpool 3, amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, has left some wondering whether she may appear in the upcoming Marvel Studios sequel. A source familiar with Thursday's gathering tells PEOPLE that the meetup was not about the movie.
"I’m going across the board. ‘No comment’ because that’s a double whammy," Levy, 55, recently told TheWrap when asked whether Swift may appear in the upcoming film.
"That’s Taylor-related. And it’s MCU-related. I’m no dummy," he said at the time. "You’re going to have to wait and see.”

Levy, who met Swift through Reynolds and Lively, previously appeared as an actor in Swift's short film for the 10-minutes long version of her song All Too Well.
"I have never witnessed, and will likely never again witness anything like I saw when I went to the football game with Taylor Swift," he recently told PEOPLE of spending time with the pop star, adding that she is "also a really fun hang."
It was recently announced that Deadpool 3 will not release on its previously expected May 3, 2024 release date because it has not finished filming. As Levy told TheWrap, the production still needs to shoot half the movie.
"I don’t even know if we officially have [a release date]. I know we were gonna be May 3,” he said. “Certainly, the actors’ strike and the long pause in production have put that release date in true risk. We’ve shot half the movie. I’ve edited half the movie. We’re dying to get back to work and get this movie out next year.”
Jackman and Reynolds were previously seen in costume as Deadpool and Wolverine in July on the film's London set just days before Hollywood actors went on strike. Deadpool 3 is the first Deadpool movie explicitly set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
