Ted Cruz Compares Donald Trump To Back To The Future's Biff Tannen

In both manner and appearance, there’s more than a whiff of ‘Back To The Future’ bully Biff Tannen in Donald Trump.

Such characteristics have clearly not escaped recent presidential race dropout Ted Cruz, who crashed out of the running for the Republican nomination yesterday.

- Is Biff in Back To The Future II actually Donald Trump?

Speaking to the press in Indiana ahead of yesterday’s primary, Cruz surmised: “If anyone has seen the movie Back to the Future 2, the screenwriter [Bob Gale] says that he based the character Biff Tannen on Donald Trump: a caricature of a braggadocios arrogant buffoon who builds giant casinos with giant pictures of him everywhere he looks.

“We are looking, potentially, at the Biff Tannen presidency. I don’t think the people of America want that. I don’t think we deserve that.”

Indeed, Bob Gale confirmed that Trump is definitely a part of Biff’s character make-up.

“We thought about it when we made the movie! Are you kidding?” Gale said last year.

“You watch Part II again and there’s a scene where Marty confronts Biff in his office, and there’s a huge portrait of Biff on the wall behind Biff, and there’s one moment where Biff kind of stands up and he takes exactly the same pose as the portrait? Yeah.”

So, it’s Biff or Hillary, McFly… sorry, America. You decide…
