Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, and Brendan Hunt discuss the unique origins of Ted Lasso, the star of the new Apple TV+ exclusive series, who began life as a character in a commercial. Debuting 14 August, 2020, the series sees a small-time college football coach from Kansas (Sudeikis) hired to coach a professional football team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. The castmembers tell Yahoo how Lasso would really cope in the English Premiere League.
