When Love Island bosses first announced last year that they would be making a winter series, many envisaged log cabins, roaring fires and simmering hot tub antics.
And while a snow-filled version of our favourite reality show never emerged (the first-ever January series went ahead in sunny South Africa earlier this year) ITV will finally be answering our prayers in 2021.
With Love Island unable to air due to the pandemic, producers are set to introduce viewers to new reality dating show The Cabins.
A host of singletons are set to shack up in a set of intimate log cabins, where in 24 hours, they have to decide if they would like to spend more time together, or call it a day and walk away.
Nestled in the UK, each sumptuous cabin boasts a hot tub, games, romantic outdoor seating and fully equipped kitchens to rustle up date-worthy treats.

The Cabins is set to be the perfect place holder until Love Island returns in the summer of 2021.
This year’s June series – which was due to take place in Mallorca – was scrapped due to coronavirus, with ITV later announcing the planned winter 2021 series would also not be going ahead.
Instead, bosses are planning a “bigger and better than ever with an extended run” for next summer.
The Cabins launches in January on ITV2.
