The Crown star Vanessa Kirby has reacted to the recent revelation that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have watched the award-winning Netflix show.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday, 9 March, the actor who played Princess Margaret in the first two series of the Netflix series, revealed that she had not yet had a chance to watch the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s revelatory interview with Oprah Winfrey due to the time difference. However she was aware that they had confirmed they had watched a few episodes.

“It’s quite mad to think that they have actually seen it,” she confessed. “That’s something that you always semi-imagine, but always thought, ‘oh, they’re probably too busy to watch it.’”

Kirby then reflected on the strange reality of Harry and Meghan’s own family being the main subject of a Netflix drama watched by millions around the world.

“What a crazy life concept,” she said. “To have a show made about literally your grandparents, and their lives, and you know that yours is upcoming possibly.”
